The Israel Information Centre (IIC) in Manchester is a source of information and assistance to the general public, covering a wide spectrum of subjects including the Political, Economic and Social aspects of Israel. The Centre welcomes requests for literature and speakers for events. The Manchester IIC issues regular Israel updates to their extensive email database.
The IIC organises speakers including representatives from the Embassy of Israel, visiting Israeli experts and Israeli academics. Speakers are arranged for Universities, schools, church groups as well as Zionist organisations. There is ongoing contact with University students.
The Centre has a good working relationship with the media in the city and they use the Centre as the first point of contact.
There is regular contact with local Councillors, MPs and MEPs in the region and we regularly lobby them on behalf of Israel. Each year the director meets the new Lord Mayor of Manchester and the Mayors of the surrounding areas.
The IIC organises major cultural events in the region including Art Exhibitions, Concerts performed by Israeli Musicians, Photography exhibitions, Films or Book launches.
